Zhonghua Secondary School National Cadet Corps (NCC) has been recognised for achieving the Distinction award for Unit Recognition excellence for 29 years consecutively. This is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our cadets and teacher officers.

Our unit focuses on nurturing our cadets to become leaders with a resilient mind, fit body and committed heart. Our programmes put our cadets to the limits and build their confidence and social skills. Our focus on leadership development meant that opportunities are curated to intentionally develop their leadership skills and 21 Century Competency skills.

On top of this, our cadets have been participating actively in competitions organised by HQ NCC. These built a sense of camaraderie and teamwork on top of pushing their fitness limits.

Key Programmes:

CAMP FORGE – To instill core values and self-discipline as well as to build the character and confidence of junior cadets.
CAMP STEEL – To instill leadership skills as well as to build the character and confidence of Senior Cadets through military-related and high element activities.
Senior Specialist Leadership Course – To allow Cadet Leaders to enhance their instructional abilities in organising, conducting and executing Individual Field Craft, Technical Handling of SAR21 Weapon and Physical Fitness.
Freestyle Drill Squad – To allow cadets to exercise their creativity through choreography of freestyle drills for performances.
Air Rifle Range - To allow cadets the opportunity to experience air rifle at a range
Basic Train Fire Package – To allow cadets the opportunity to fire the SAR21 through the Individual Marksmanship Trainer (IMT) and live firing range.

Recent Achievements:

Unit Recognition Award – Distinction (since 1996)
16th Freestyle Drill Competition (2026) – 4th in East District
42nd Orienteering Competition (2025) – 2nd in East District
NCC Sports Championship 2024 (Football) – 1st in East District
40th Orienteering Competition (2023) - 1st
